Our Aim

Welcome to Liv's Tails in Training! I use positive reinforcement in my reward and game-based training methods to set your dog up for success and make training fun for you and your best friend. This approach to training not only promotes positive behaviours but also helps to create a happy and healthy relationship between you and your furry friend.

Positive reinforcement is a form of training that reinforces desirable behaviours through paying your dog back with something they love. When a behaviour is taught in a fun and nice way paired with something the dog finds rewarding, the behaviour will be retained for longer than through using aversive methods which may only stop unwanted behaviours for a short period of time. By using positive reinforcement, unwanted behaviours become forgotten as they do not get rewarded, creating no need for aversive and punishing methods.

I understand that providing a happy life for your dog involves meeting their physical and emotional needs. My class training plans are created to provide a safe, comfortable and stimulating environment for your dog to best set them up for success. Training classes at Tails in Training also provides socialisation opportunities with a limited class size to prevent your dog from feeling overwhelmed and allows your dog to learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment.

I believe that spending quality time with your dog, getting to know their body language and needs, and providing them with plenty of love and attention are the foundations for a great relationship. I strive to create a positive experience for both you and your dog and help you build a strong relationship with your furry friend and provide them with a happy and healthy life.
