FAQs
Q ~ What if my adolescent bitch comes into season during in-person course time?
A ~ As a bitches first season is the most unpredictable, we may offer for you to defer the course to the next start date or issue a refund for any remaining classes. Online completion of the course may also be offered when possible.
Q ~ Can my adult bitch still go to in-person classes whilst they are in season?
A ~ For safety reasons, we do not allow bitches who are in season to participate in in-person courses. We ask that you please keep track of the dates your bitch(es) are in season. On average a bitch will go into season approximately every 6-7 months. Please check the dates of the course and don’t book if too near the expected season. Classes will not generally get deferred or refunded unless there are extenuating circumstances.
Can my family come to training classes?
Yes! We would encourage family members to come to classes as it will help to get everyone onboard with the skills and training. We do however ask that any additional family members remain seated when not training with the puppy/dog.
What if my puppy/dog is frightened in class?
It can be normal for a puppy/dog to be nervous, scared or cautious in any new environment. Your puppy/dog will get time and space in their first class to sniff and explore the environment. Each puppy/dog will have their own area for to settle and work in. During each class session your puppy/dogs behaviour will be observed and if at any time we feel they are getting too overwhelmed, we may suggest private training sessions.
